How to Spot a Fake Coach (Non Authentic)

Simple Guide To Be Shared.

Coach is an upscale designer and manufacturer of handbags. These beautiful bags range from wallet-sized clutches to large purses. Expensive and exclusive, the original bags are often copied and sold on the streets and at swap markets as the real deal. If you think you are getting a great price on a genuine Coach, check again. Chances are, it could be a fake.

Instructions

Look at the pattern of double C's on the outside of the bag. They should meet neatly in the center and not be cut off by the stitching. They should also line up in straight rows all around the bag, and should clearly look like C's and not Q's or G's. Finally, the pattern will always be in double C's on an authentic Coach, not single C's.

Examine the paragraph written on the tag. The tag should be leather and sewn onto the inside of the bag. The paragraph will be neatly stamped onto the leather and raised. It should be written in all capital letters and in English.
    • 3
Examine the serial number on the tag. There will be a serial number under a paragraph on the tag. An authentic Coach bag will feature a serial number that starts with the abbreviation "No," followed by a dash and four numbers.

Check out the dust bag, if it came with one. Authentic Coach bags come with a dark brown dust bag with a red drawstring and the words "COACH EST.1941" written on it in white.
